I’m also beginning to get the hang of the <a href="https://mastodon.green/tags/ParkAndDraft" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ParkAndDraft</span></a> spinning technique and it works really well with the very short fibers of native cotton. </p><p>I am carding by hand and would like to figure out a DIY solution to make better cards without spending over $100 on cotton combs. I present my handspun Musselburgh - brim up, brim down, blocking, and the original fiber. I am happy with it, but I’m not crazy about it. rebecca<p>many years ago (2013) there was a crowdfunding campaign to start up a fiber mill in Mendocino, and I signed up for a box of "roving surprise" and promptly forgot about it. </p><p>several years later (2022) they opened up and sent out backer packages.
